We are
Boredom.

A studio that gets bored easily — so we make motion, VFX, and 3D characters that don't. Bold, weird, and built to move.

WHAT WE DO

From motion to VFX to 3D characters — we turn "I'm bored" into something worth watching.

Bored yet?
Let's fix that.

Everything
we've made.

ABOUT US

Chronically bored.
Occasionally brilliant.

Here's who we are, what we do, who's actually doing it, and where else to find us.

WHAT IS BOREDOM?

We named ourselves after the thing we're trying to escape.

We believe in the power of boredom as a catalyst for creative expression, and call ourselves the Boredom Collective as a reminder of our roots.

We love the thrill, the discomfort of boredom, as it pushes us to create novel things and build off unique ideas.

We know, the name is a little backwards. Why would a design and animation studio call itself Boredom? Because we started learning and making design as kids, mostly because we were bored — and that same creative itch has kept pushing us to grow throughout our individual careers.

WHAT WE DO

Motion design, VFX, and 3D characters — mostly.

At Boredom, we specialize in digital and visual design, blending 2D and 3D animation, VFX, and storytelling to craft bold, compelling work.

Whether we're building original worlds or collaborating with brands, music artists, and filmmakers, we turn ideas into visually striking stories that move.

Motion Design

Carril Car
Travel Short

A short film for Carril Agency — one little road-trip car, one big sky, and a whole lot of R&D before we let it drive anywhere.

BRIEF

Carril Agency came to us wanting a short film that felt like the start of every road trip — one small car, one big open sky, and that first stretch of highway where anything feels possible. The brief was simple: make it warm, make it a little funny, and make people want to get in the car.

CONCEPT

Before touching final renders, we locked the world down on paper — storyboarding the beats, sketching the car's personality through its stickers and plates, and building out the "Carril" brand world that would ride along with it.

STYLEFRAMES

RND

We spent a lot of time in RND, developing a visual style for our short through concept art, moodboarding, asset development, lighting, materials, and animation tests. It was super important to us that we were clear on the visual language before moving into actual production — this was necessary to ensure the smoothest possible production where it mattered most.

Sippy Cup Girl

A 15-hour sculpt challenge — done in 11. Teal hair buns, a monkey-branded cup, and way too much personality for one small character.
